the priestess

When Angie Aniwura and I met, there was an instant connection—a mutual recognition that this collision wasn't accidental.
For over a year we have been collaborating on a project depicting Angie as she wanted to be seen—a Yoruba Orisa devotee, her spirituality an integral yet hidden part of her life. In that, we found a parallel. my own spirituality is also deeply personal, something I rarely share. Our collaboration is built on trust, a balance of vision and voice. I begin each portrait, laying down the foundation, then I hand it over to Angie, who brings it into its fullest form with her intricate graphic designs.
Each piece is an exchange, a dialogue—equal parts reverence, intuition, and creative fire.
The Priestess is an ongoing series of large-scale works—monumental in both size and spirit
